SlackPorts is a new project that create a BSD ports like for Slackware®.
It uses GNU Make, Bash Script, the well-know SlackBuilds and the KISS philosophy.

If you want to try, use the svn version:

svn co https://slackports.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/slackports/devel /usr/slackports
